Curtis Sliwa- Biography Curtis Sliwa was born in New York City, NY on March 26, 1954. Activist and founder of the Guardian Angels, a New York-based volunteer patrol organization. Also a radio personality, he hosted an afternoon program on New York City’s WABC-AM station. He supported New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani‘s campaign. Following his graduation from Canarsie High School, he worked as a manager of a McDonald’s restaurant in The Bronx.
